Pink handfish! This elusive and endangered species was spotted earlier this year by divers inside the shipwreck SS Tasman, about 80m deep, off the Tasman Peninsula. Like its cousins the Red and Spotted handfish, the Pink handfish is a small anglerfish that mostly moves on its fins along the seabed rather than swimming, making them vulnerable to disturbances and habitat loss.
