Awesome @mach2mike ・・・ Great footage of the live test for the T-7 Redhawk ejection seat. You’ll notice the canopy fracturing system (wire on canopy above pilot’s helmet) explode to shatter the canopy to allow the pilot/seat to egress. This system is used often on slower aircraft (like the AV-8) or in this case, a sideways opening canopy (like the T-6 Texan II) that is not blown off the aircraft (or may not properly clear the seat) prior to the seat going up the rails.
