RIEGELWOOD, N.C. (WECT) - A modified air quality permit has been issued to a local pulp and paper mill by the North Carolina Department of Environmental Quality’s Division of Air Quality (DAQ).

The closure comes after the company closed its pulp and paper mill in Georgetown, South Carolina, at the end of 2024.
